Tired of gnashing your teeth in a washed-out fleece from when the Soviet Union was still a thing? Then it's time to grab something that's built for today's reality. The Cold WX Hoody LT Gen 2.1 from Arc'teryx LEAF is more than just a winter jacket - it's your shield against winter's wrath and your best friend on cold night shifts.
Warm without volume
Filled with Climashield Prism insulation – the jackets’ answer to an oil boiler in a PMV. It keeps you warm, even when it’s damp, wet, or you’re standing still for hours. It won’t lose its breath, even if you do. And it never feels heavy or bulky – just warm and clear.
Built to take on the Danish winter without a hitch
The outer shell in GORE-TEX Infinium Windstopper with DWR coating ensures that rain and snow bounce off like bad excuses. The wind is kept out and you stay warm and dry – without looking like a bloated Michelin man. The jacket is made for field use, not for strolling around the mall (although it can handle that too).
Hood with head in place
The insulated hood is adjustable, helmet compatible and designed to stay out of the way – for visibility, gear or attitude. The zip goes all the way up and has a No-Slip construction, so it stays closed, even when the wind blows from the side like on a cold skywalk in Borris.
Move as you want – not as the jacket allows
Arc'teryx has thought about movement. Articulated designs and flexible materials mean you can run, crawl, swing and shoot without being stopped by your jacket's freedom of movement. No stiffness, no bulk – just pure function.
Enough pockets for both equipment and reality
-
2 upper arm pockets with carabiner loops – perfect for small items and quick access.
-
2 large insulated hand pockets with zippers - warmth for your hands and space for the essentials.
(Each pocket holds 2 x 500 cl Monster – so the jacket can hold 4 liters of Monster!)
Patch panel for Dannebrog, name, rank – or a self-purchased patch
Approved by people in the field
Rumor has it that even the Army Chief has one in his closet.
NOTE: This jacket cannot exempt you from taking shifts – but it will at least ensure that you don't freeze while taking them.
